5 on Friday

1. Know anyone having a baby next year? I'm offering a special newborn package at a reduced price! The offer is only good for a limited time so contact me as soon as you can to secure your spot. This package at regular cost is over $100 without the CD of digital files so this is an awesome deal!

2. Not too long ago, I discovered the Elf on the Shelf holiday tradition and I think it's the cutest thing ever! It's a little elf that you bring out during the holidays and he's there to report all the happenings of the home back to Santa- so the kiddos want to be on their best behavior! Every night he heads back to the North Pole and gives Santa the full report, then in the morning he comes back to your home and appears in a different spot each time. I'm hoping to start this new tradition next year since Jake will be 2 1/2 then and I think he'll understand it better :)

3. Last weekend we took Jake to Union Station to see the huge, gigantic, GINORMOUS train set they have and he loved it. LOVED. IT.

I think he could have stood there all day watching the trains go by! It was so cute and I can't wait to take him back to see it again. Maybe we'll have time this weekend...

4. I'll be offering a new product with my birth photography package- look for details soon!

5. It's your last chance to get in on the 2009 pricing! If you book with me by December 31 (for anytime in 2010) you will be locked into the 2009 prices!

Holiday Mini Sessions - Round 2!

I would like to thank everyone who participated this year! I know it was last minute so thank you all for being flexible and patient with me. Everyone should have received their discs by now, or will be receiving them tomorrow.

Again, thank you, thank you, thank you!
On to the good stuff! I had a really hard time deciding on what to post so I tried to narrow it down ans much as possible. I really wish I could do individual posts for everyone but that's just not possible today.
Enjoy!

5 on Friday

I was hoping to make up for the past couple Fridays I missed but I just don't have time today, sorry :(

1. I AM DONE EDITING ALL OF MY HOLIDAY MINI SESSIONS!! I've become quite close with my computer these last two weeks.... a soon as Jake went to bed I was down there editing away until late at night- but it was totally worth it and I was so glad to get the response that I did for these sessions! I can't wait to do them next year, although we'll do things a tad different: 1) sessions will be held in October- way before the holiday season! 2) I probably won't do as many, but we'll see how that goes... 3) I'll be offering a couple different packages at different price points AND some will include holiday cards! Yay!

I'll be posting round 2 of the Holiday mini sessions later today so be watching for those!! There's quite a few I have to post!

2. I still have not taken the picture for our holiday cards! Maybe this weekend I'll get around to it. I have so many ideas but not enough time :(

3. I'm pretty much done with all my holiday shopping! My family has decided to do a low-key Christmas this year and we all agreed on no gifts (for the adults) so that we can just focus on the meaning of the season and enjoy our time spent together- which will be a nice change from the frantic shopping I usually am doing the couple days before Christmas!

4. I downloaded the newest Phoenix album the other day and LOVE IT!! I believe the album was released in May but I recently just discovered this band and they are definitely in my top favorite 5 bands right now. You can preview the album here.

5. If you are into books I *highly* recommend you read The Hunger Games by Suzanne Collins. We just read this for my book club and those of us who were able to get a copy and read it LOVED it!! It's a great story about the destruction and corruption of what used to be The United States, set in future "American" times. I believe it's classified as a Young Lit book, but the only reason why would be that the main characters are teenagers. It's an amazing story told so well and I just couldn't put it down. You can read the synopsis, reviews and purchase the book here. I'm going out tonight and buying the second book in the series- the only problem is I have a lot to do this weekend and I'm afraid I will be too distracted with the book to get it all done :)

A post with no picture = lame so here's a preview from one of the holiday sessions!
(Edit: I posted with out the picture! Whoops!)

Holiday Mini Sessions - Round 1!

I'm finally getting caught up with some things and have time for a quick post! I had the pleasure of hanging out with these three families last Sunday (well, two Sunday's ago). The day started out cloudy and cold but it all worked out! Next year we will be doing these in October to avoid the chill :)

Enjoy!
